Hannah's 2nd birthday and birthday party were Saturday, and we had a blast! She really enjoyed herself. As the day approached and every day since then she says "Happy Birthday" any time she sees a cake, or a card or any decorations. We had a Sesame Street themed party, and she got lots of Elmo gifts as well as some other really nice stuff. She kept saying "whoa!" as she opened her gifts and couldn't wait to show them off. She blew out her candle herself and pointed out all of the characters on her cake. She wouldn't eat her specially-made eggless cake, though. I know she likes the cake by itself because I gave her some a few days before the party and she ate every bite, but I think the icing was too much for her. She kept asking for a napkin to clean her fingers. What can I say? She is MY child. Anyway, she had a really good time and so did we! It was a really special time for our family.
