He's walking!!!

Our little man took his first real step on his first birthday, June 8th. But, we were far from being able to label him a walker. He had done pretty well and worked on it a lot but was still fearful and only getting up to 20 steps at most, but mostly around 10 and would then fall. On August 8th, he started walking all the time with no fear, but still only from one thing to another (about 10 steps). On the 11th he became a true walker and would walk across the room easily. And the next day, he walked constantly and in circles. He could even bend and pick things up and stand back up and keep going. And the kicker- he could even walk while drinking out of his sippy cup. Wow! Man, he perfected this walking thing fast!

Today, I got out his size 6 walking shoes I bought several months ago on sale. He saw them in the box and wanted them. So, I gave him the box. I thought he would just play with them. Well, he had other plans. He tried putting them on and was silently begging me to put them on him. So, I did. He took off! I swear he was running! He had those shoes on from 3:00 this afternoon until 6:30 tonight when we got him ready for bed. And, the few times one came off, he insisted that it be put back on. So funny! I guess I don't have to be concerned about him being able to walk well in his first pair of walking shoes.

Oh, he has been so fussy because of these molars that are taking their sweet little time breaking through his gums. These pictures were taken right after nap when he refused to leave his paci in his crib without a tantrum.
A funny note----today, he kept figuring out how to open the pocket door leading into his bedroom so that he can sneak a paci out of his crib. He's a smart little stinker!
I just thought I would include a cute picture of Hannah and Hudson waiting at the window for the garbage truck. They hear it coming down the street and stand at the window to watch every Monday morning.

Here's a funny picture of Hannah having a blast at her friend, Ava's, birthday party on Saturday.

My wonderful husband figured out what was slowing our computer speed down to a turtle's pace, so I will hopefully get to blog more often now.
