Hudson- 20 months- Bye, Bye Baby!

Where has our baby boy gone? Hudson is such a big boy now. He looks, acts, and talks like it now. He loves to play and mimick his big sister. He is still quiet, yet so expressive. I see so much of Rodney in him. Last night Rodney and I got a good laugh as I was telling Daddy about the "Rodney" look he gave me when I got something he didn't want out of the pantry. When I put it back and grabbed something he did want, he pointed to his booster tray for me to put it down so that he can start eating right away. It's so funny that he does that. And, if it's something he REALLY wants, he'll point with 2 fingers very aggressively. So expressive.

Though he is working on those dreaded 2 year molars and has felt badly, this is the face we normally get when he wakes up. Such a tough little guy.

Climbing is still a favorite activity.

One of the most impressive things he is doing now is puzzles. He loves this 12 piece clock puzzle. I was amazed one day when he grabbed it and put all the pieces in quickly, even the octagon and odd-shaped pieces. A quiet and methodical intelligence.....just like Daddy.

Here are some of his new words:
"owww" or "doo-doo" for "boo-boo"
"tatoo" for "thank you"
"tut" for "shirt"
"No!" (usually including pushing his hand away from him for emphasis)
"Nee" for "cheese"
"yay!" (he loves to applaud himself and others)

Some funny things:
He loves to point and name: himself (he can't say "Hudson" yet), Hannah (which is "Ah-nah"), Mama, and Daddy.

He says "Yay!" when you turn on PraiseBaby or another favorite video.

He thinks it's funny to spontaneously blow his nose while eating (Yes, it's gross!)

When you give him a fork to eat with, he will sit there and try and try until he has eaten every single bite off of that fork.

Random things:
He really seems to know the colors yellow, green, and red when asked.

I think his favorite color is orange, but maybe that's because that's the crayon he always chooses to eat color with.

I think he is definitely a lefty.

Today, he told me "tatoo" when I handed him something. So sweet!
