D-day is Thursday, January 26th!

I had my 39 week doctor's appointment today. I am now dilated 3 to 4 cm and have some contractions most evenings. We are set to be at the hospital at 6 am on Thursday morning to start Pitocin and hopefully kick-start regular, progressive contractions. It seems I start dilating and contracting way early and have to have a little help moving into active labor past 5 cm. I'm hoping that once my water is broken after the process has been started it will be a fast progression towards 10 cm like both times before.

With Hannah, I was 4 cm and contracting every 10-15 minutes when I checked in at the hospital. Starting from when my water was broken and pitocin was started my labor was 4 hours and 15 minutes with 1 hour of pushing. With Hudson, I was 5 cm and contracting every 4 or 5 minutes when I arrived and checked in and once my water was broken and pitocin was started I labored for 5 hours (being stuck at 8 cm for over 2 1/2 hrs) and pushed for 16 minutes. I guess we'll see how this labor and delivery pans out. I'm just hoping that however long it takes, I can breathe through the contractions and progress steadily with another natural labor. Pain meds any stronger than Motrin make me loopy and out-of-it. I don't want to be out-of-it when my baby's born!

Anyway, to whoever reads this please pray for my safety and the safety of our baby on Thursday! I can't wait to hold our little one and find out if we have another son or another daughter!
