Hudson's Birthday at the Beach

Sunday, June 8, 2014

We got to celebrate this sweet new five-year-old again while we were at the beach on his actual birthday.

The day started with a birthday jelly biscuit and Hudson's beloved fruit.

We had him go ahead and open one of his gifts we were saving for this trip-a massive airplane kite!

He was very excited to try it out. He actually asked us numerous times if we had brought a kite. It was hard to keep the secret!

I found a cool cake at Walmart that worked and we had that in the condo with some ice cream and chips. I said, "So this is how easy it is to go buy a cake and some ice cream and throw a party!" Easiest ever! I only really had a cake because our parents, my sister, and family friend were there to celebrate with us, most driving down from Dothan. Hudson had already had his fancy Avengers cake I made, so I was not particular. And he wasn't either. The only thing he requested was a vanilla cake with vanilla icing. Finding one with sprinkles all down the sides was an added bonus.

Of course, he was super excited about more gifts too!

The cool new kite flew so well. We had a very excited little birthday boy!
