Trinity Christmas Pageant

Sunday, December 14, 2014

It seems like every year something funny happens at the annual Trinity Christmas Pageant and Hudson is involuntarily involved, whether it be from being wrestled to the ground with his costume over his head by another cow or being tackled by a kid standing behind him who passes out during the show. Since Hudson was a wiseman this year I had visions of Mary and Joseph's gift being tossed around or something like that. I should add that I thought he would do a really good job, but wondered if some sort of comedy would occur again this year at Hudson's expense. It didn't.

He was really into being a wiseman. He was the smallest one, but took his cues and did his thing. He was so cute. I love that picture I took of him during rehearsal. He was so excited to walk that aisle with the big boys and present his gift.

Hannah was an angel. That girl loves singing!
She also got a reading part this year. She did great.

Andrew joined the show this year as a cow. Now, with Andrew being the fiesty one of the bunch I wasn't sure if he would end up doing it, but he really impressed me. It was a slow start and he didn't want anything to do with it the first couple of rehearsals, but he ended up doing everything that was expected of a manger scene stable animal.

With him and his little buddy, Hezekiah, being animals together I thought they might get a little too into character and provide some comedy, but it was nothing but cuteness. They even hugged each other as they sat there on the step front and center. They were adorable.
Aside from them having a special fondness for and caressing baby Jesus, they did exactly what was expected of little animals. And little Anna beside them was the cutest, most obedient little horse.

It is so sweet seeing our children and our friends' children acting out scripture and telling of Jesus' birth in such a great way. It was wonderful to see their excitement.
