Wyatt at 3 months

January 17, 2015

Wyatt had a very busy third month!

He usually only cries when he's really hungry, when he has a dirty diaper, or when he wants to lay down to go to sleep.
He fidgets when being held when he wants to lay in his bed to sleep. And he usually goes to sleep well on his own. It will be great when he can keep the pacifier in his mouth.
This month he started sleeping well during the night and will go down around 10:00pm and sleep until at least 4:00am. I think we have reached a turning point, and Mommy is so glad!
He sleeps between every feeding and eats every three to four hours. He still loves to nurse, but needs a bottle afterwards almost every feeding.

Wyatt loves batting at toys now and is "talking" a lot!

It was funny to see the lack of enthusiasm on his face when I put him in this cutesy outfit. He was uncharacteristically somber as if he was saying, "Mom, really?"

He loves to stand on our laps and has such strong legs.

At 11 weeks, Wyatt started grabbing toys and hair. The toys he can't seem to hold onto long, but the hair is a different story!
Another 11 week milestone was his first giggle out loud when I was playing peek a boo with him on my lap. That first laugh is such a very special thing!

This cute little smile seriously makes my day every single day. It doesn't matter if it's the middle of the night or if he's just been crying, any time he opens his eyes and looks at me he smiles. Melts my heart!

He's happy even half-asleep when I have to wake him up from a nap to go pick the kids up from school.
Wyatt rolled over back to side and tummy to back on January 13th at 12.5 weeks old. He is busy trying to be mobile!
He's holding his head up so well when he has tummy time.

He's getting so strong.

Wyatt continues to be a very laid-back and easy baby. The only challenge is feeding him sometimes because he doesn't love drinking from the bottle. And I think we are figuring out the sleeping better now. His demeanor is one of calm happiness. He doesn't seem to mind being woken up to go here and there, or when I have to stop feeding him for a minute to go help Andrew on the potty, or when I feed him past the point of being hungry because I have to help the others with something. There isn't really a schedule that works well for every day of the week, so he just goes with the flow well.

He loves people, smiling at them every chance he gets. If you talk to him, he smiles at you. He just wants to be around people. He doesn't like to be left alone to play in a room alone for long. I guess he's used to a room full of craziness!
