15 months
This month was spent working on mobility and getting into things!
This little bundle of silliness and joy also celebrated his second Christmas, but his first one knowing how fun it is to tear into gifts and get new things. He did so with seriousness, but seemed to be pleased with his surprises.
He does lots of things to surprise us and show us that, though he is little, he is very clever. One day he carried a tissue he found in the living room all the way into the kitchen and straight to the trash can to throw it away. I was amazed. He's such a smart little guy.
He stills loves his pacifiers-many of them-in bed with him and sometimes needs one when he wakes up from nap or spends time in a nursery.
He's doing better in the church nursery and only cries for a little bit. He's comforted by Andrew being in there. He does very well being left with Abby, our babysitter, or grandparents who visit. That is really nice for Mommy!
His sister is his favorite helper!
The brothers are always coming up with new ways to play with him.
Wyatt has very good entertainers.
16 months
This month was very busy for Wyatt!
He started running. And pretty quickly! It's so cute. He loves it when the kids chase him.
This was so funny! The older kids were racing and timing themselves, and Wyatt had to get in on it. He grabbed that timer and took off with it! Those little legs move so quickly!
Wyatt is into everything-plants, fireplace rocks, kitchen cabinets, playing behind tables and chairs pulling on lamp cords, climbing onto chairs and the couch, trying to balance on moving things, trash cans, sneaking into any prohibited room when someone leaves the door open, and, with Mommy's complete disgust and disappointment, even throwing toys into the toilet.
He has said a few things sporadically, such as "mama" (more commonly) "caaa" for "cracker," "ahma" for "amen."
As of February 2nd, he started really picking up with the dialog. He says "duh" for "duck", and he babbles while pointing, trying to have a conversation and tell us things. He signs "more" and "eat" and sometimes "milk".
He is very vocal, mostly with screaming, and toward the end of the month he really started trying to be conversational. He points to things and babbles. My favorite thing is that when he picks up a book and opens it, he babbles as if he is reading it!
His only consistent real word is "cacka" for "cracker" (He has a new addiction to oyster crackers). He says "mama" some, but usually when he's whining (yay). He really doesn't say any other real words, but is beginning to mimic sounds when I ask him to.
He's burning calories faster or he's going through a growth spurt because he has developed a much bigger appetite.
His favorite snack is cheese and graham cracker (LOVES these), besides the oyster crackers.
Running, running, running!
He will defend himself from the boys and wants to wrestle with them all the time.
And, this boy is climbing, climbing, climbing!
If anyone is not wearing their shoes, he brings them their shoes to put them on. And he won't take "No" for an answer!
He also developed a little temper. He hits sometimes if he gets mad and still bites Andrew if he pins him down. He bit one other little kid in a nursery once (so far). Hopefully, he will learn the error of his ways soon as he gets hard smacks on his hand for that.
First time playing in the snow!
This month he started 1/2 formula, 1/2 cow's milk and doesn't act like he even tastes the difference.
On January19th his second molar broke through (bottom left) and on the 27th, his third molar (top right).
Oh, the dimply goodness!!!
This little guy is so fun!
