The house that sleeps

Hudson is excited!

Well, Hudson is sleeping all night long! He wakes up at least once usually wanting his paci but then goes right back to sleep. Last night was the first night he slept in his own room. He slept from 8:40 last night to 8:15 this morning! He woke up at 5:30 crying and wanting his paci. I got up and gave it to him and he went back to sleep. I had to wake him up to eat this morning.
He is eating now at 8:00, 12:00, 4:00, and 8:00. So now both kids are in bed by 8:45. Yeah! He naps 3 times during the day and is napping pretty well too. I feel like I can get more done now, though my philosophy is that spending quality time with my kids is more important than having a spotless house. Let's face it- it'll never be spotless!
I'm trying to do more preschool-like activities with Hannah during the day. We do at least one art project every day and try to go outside and do something every day if it's nice. She is also doing the "Your Baby Can Read" program. We watch a video, go through flash cards, and work through a word book every day. Some days it's hard to fit all of that along with our regular activities in with feeding and entertaining Hudson too, but it's better now that he is sleeping well.
Hannah's vocabulary is booming again. She is speaking clear sentences now (sentence fragments at least). The other day she fell and scraped her knee on the picture of a turtle I drew in sidewalk chalk. Last night she was showing Rodney her "boo-boo," and he asked her how she got it. She said "got boo-boo fell down turtle outside." Also, today Hudson was sucking on his fist and she went over to him and gently took his fist out of his mouth and said "no-no, no mouth, hand dirty." She's heard that a lot!
We sure do have some amazing children! We are so blessed by the Lord!
