This past Saturday we went to the Birmingham Zoo. We had a great weekend. We enjoyed staying at Big Mama and Papo's house on Friday night, going out on a date to P.F. Chang's (just Mommy and Daddy), and being treated to the Zoo on Saturday. It was perfect weather and a lot of fun.

The goats were a hit. Hudson tried to follow this little goat by climbing into the bushes to the right of the pole pictured. I had to pull him out.
Roar!!! I decided to show Hudson's non-crying picture. He's not a big fan of the carousel.
His sister sure loves it!
Funny story- all of the kids are lined up 4 feet away from these lions at feeding time. After eating, the male lion jumps on the female and starts mating. This happens just 4 little feet away from our innocent onlookers' eyes. When the adults see what is happening, the Daddies watch, laughing hysterically as the Mommies are herding their children away from the scene that none of us wanted to have to explain later. Hannah never asked a question. Whew!

Hudson is a big fan of monkeys and wanted to join them.
He also wanted to climb into the pond with the ducks.
