The Tomb is Empty!
These are some terms and phrases that come to mind as I think about Easter and what it signifies.
We've started the tradition of going through Resurrection Eggs with the kids. We started it when Hannah was a baby. We think it's a wonderful way to use visual aids and visual cues with the teaching of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. It was such a blessing to see and hear Hannah's understanding of all that we discussed and read about. Even Hudson could contribute and recite some of what we were teaching them. To hear our children talk about Jesus and share about the gospel is such an amazing feeling.
Look! The last egg is empty like the tomb!
Even though the focus of Easter is Jesus and not eggs or Easter bunnies or gifts, it's so fun to do baskets as a treat for the kids. So, Mommy had fun filling their baskets with little things I knew they would love.
They were surprised!
On Sunday afternoon we had an egg hunt in our front yard.
After they found all of the eggs they sat down to take a look inside of them. I strategically put only two jellybeans in each one so that they could eat it all and not have too much candy. However, they loved the two prize eggs that had $2 and two packs of sixlets in them. Of course, they cared more about the chocolate than the money.
