One sweet girl down

Well......one week Hannah is dressing up every day at school in honor of Homecoming week, like Tacky Tuesday when she got to put on anything she wanted.

And, today, instead of spending her holiday off from school dressing up in her leotard and dancing all day like she does every day after after school and on off days............she is down with the flu instead.

It just hit her like a wall yesterday afternoon and she has had a fever of at least 103 and had vomiting, aches, and a worsened cough. Bless her heart. She has just been pitiful today. She's never been this sick before. At one point she couldn't even open her eyes and her face was so red. Her skin was just burning up. She started Tamiflu this afternoon after having a test done at the pediatrician's office, and aside from the vomiting (likely the effect of the Tamiflu on an empty stomach), she looks much better. Actually, she is due for some more cough and fever meds, but I can't bring myself to wake her when she's finally resting so well. Poor girl.
She's so sweet, though. In the thick of things early this evening, when Daddy was away at a meeting, I was feeding Andrew his bottle and having Hudson eat his dinner when she started throwing up downstairs (she and I are camping out down there until her fever is gone). I yelled down, "I'll be down there in just a minute, Baby!" She says, "It's okay!" Well, when I go down she is back in bed. She repeatedly got up, did her business, cleaned out her "bowl", washed her hands, and laid back down. What a big girl! She's such a trooper. I pray for a good night's rest and a much better day for her tomorrow!
