Hudson- 12 months

Hudson went to the doctor yesterday for his 12 month check-up. Everything was good. His weight was surprisingly only 24 lbs 5 oz (at 9 months it was 22 lbs 11 oz). I really think he lost a little in the last couple of days. His length is up to 31 1/2 inches (up from 30 in). We are on day five of his milk boycott. I guess he's teething. He tends to do this when he's teething, though not to this extreme. He has had only 5-7 ounces a day for the past 3 days. The doctor is unconcerned as he is having enough wet diapers and is getting a lot of fluid through baby food. I have given up being stressed about it and trying to make him drink. Yes, I have given in to the thought, "he will drink when he's thirsty" no matter how much I think he's not getting enough.
New things:
Hudson took is first step on his first birthday and is up to 3 in a row now! He is finally eating the chunky baby food with no gags or issues and is eating a few table food items-beans, cheese, bread, carrots, green beans, cantaloupe, apple. He only eats a tiny bit before he is bored. I offer it for snack or after he eats the baby food. He's not quite ready to get rid of the baby food yet. He said "Bye-bye" yesterday. So, he says "Mama" frequently, every now and then says "De-de", "go", and now "Bye-bye". He's a man of few words, just like Daddy. He still prefers Mommy to anyone (which of course I LOVE), is so excited to see Hannah in the morning and after nap, and is crazy about Daddy now. He tries to leap of of your arms to go greet Daddy now when he gets home from work. It's so cute. That's all I can think of for now!
