Fall parties, Pumpkin carving, and Dressing up

We had a very busy October and Fall season this year!
Hudson was happy to get to have his own school festivities this year, and because Andrew is my tag-a-long, he got to enjoy all of them.

For Hudson's class, he requested spider cupcakes, so we made them and brought them in for his party. It was cute to see him with his little classmates.
(And when he asks me when he's older why there are usually more pictures of Hannah than him, I will explain to him how he completely ignores me when I try to take pictures of him.)

Next came Hannah's class party. They had a pancake lunch to celebrate their first novel, "Nate the Great," who ate pancakes.

Hannah requested owl cupcakes. So, I got to work baking again.

On Halloween night, the Fall festival we like going to at First Baptist got canceled due to inclement weather. It was very windy and a little rainy. But, the weather cleared some and we were able to do a few things outside. We got take-out and had a picnic on the porch. When I got back from picking up dinner, Daddy had let them pick out something from the dress-up box to wear.

I thought he would go for Batman or Captain America, but for some reason he wanted to wear a furry one.

Hannah decided to wear a gymnastics outfit and tutu and have us spray her hair multi-colored.

We went to visit and meet our new neighbors down the street.
After that, we carved our pumpkins. This is the first time we've done this and the kids loved it!

They turned out quite well.

I think we managed to make the most of canceled plans. We had our own fun!
