Hannah's First Ballet Production-The Nativity

Hannah had been working hard for several weeks practicing for the big Christmas show. Her class had a short part in the Nativity portion of the show, and they danced to "Away in a Manger."
We weren't allowed to photograph or video the actual shows (because of the flashes and lights being distracting to the dancers), but I got some pretty good shots during the dress rehearsal.
It was very cute.
I was quite proud of her. During the actual show there were a few little ones that decided to take the opportunity of being on stage to provide some comedy relief for the audience by sticking out their tongues and making faces. Most of the audience was laughing, and I was afraid it would distract the others dancers from doing what they had practiced, but she was unaffected. She stayed focused and did exactly was she was supposed to do. And she had great form.
I love that she is so disciplined in learning dance and that she takes it so seriously. She loves dancing around all the time doing silly things, but when it's time to focus she does it well.
And I am officially a Dance Mom, whatever that means!
Well, I'm pretty sure it means a lot of running around, bobby pinning, hairspraying, and dressing your girl backstage in a corner right before a show.

Here she is rocking the baby Jesus.

I love her straight arms and ballet hands.

After the big show

We were so glad to have Big Mama and Papo here for the show Friday night.

I was so surprised that the boys were so into the show. I thought we might be fighting Andrew to keep him in one spot during the show, but he loved it! He kept clapping and saying, "Wow!" and "Whoa!". And Hudson was very captivated too. I was glad they enjoyed it because there are many more to come!
