Wyatt's Baptism

 December 14, 2014

A few weeks ago we had the honor of seeing our sweet child, Wyatt Alexander, baptized.

Wyatt received the sign and seal of the righteousness that God promises to those who believe and of all who receive and rest upon Jesus Christ for salvation.

We, before all of those witnesses, acknowledged his need of the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ and the renewing grace of the Holy Spirit. We claimed God's covenant promise on his behalf and promised to look in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation as we do our own. We, without reserve, dedicated him to God and promised in humble reliance upon divine grace that we would endeavor to set before him a Godly example and that we will pray with him and for him. We promised to teach him the doctrines and that we will strive, by all the means of God's appointment, to bring him up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Our pastor and friend, Philip Caines, performed Wyatt's baptism.

G-Daddy, BB, and Aunt Jenn were with us.

It was a very emotional service, with baptizing Wyatt and all of the things that the act of baptism means for us, and because of my thankfulness to have my family there. Even more than that, I felt the presence of the Lord so strongly with me and was overwhelmed with thankfulness to Him for His grace upon me, for saving me and blessing me with a loving and devoted husband and beautiful, sweet children who already love Him so much.
