Hudson's 7th Birthday Party

June 4, 2016

Hudson chose to have a Super Mario birthday party this year. We had it at the church, and Hudson had lots of sweet friends come celebrate with him. He had such a good time and declared it the "best birthday ever!"

Hudson requested cupcakes with rings and a cake with a 7 and candles that spelled out "Happy Birthday." He picked his favorite parts of a few different cakes, and we figured it out. He's easily pleased. We thought it turned out just how he wanted.

We all spent a couple of days cutting out paper and gluing to make the Mario and Luigi favor bags.

I'm so glad we took the chance to get a few family pictures.

Daddy brought the bouncy balls and set up an open area to race and bounce like crazy. The balls were a huge hit! We had Super Mario medals for the winners of each race.

Silly boys!

Wyatt even bounced a little.

 And, of course, CAKE!

Hannah and Hudson had just been to Science camp the week before and learned a great activity making boats out of  aluminum foil. The goal was to fill it with coins, trying to be the team to get the most money in without sinking the boat.

All of the kids were really into this activity and worked great as teams.

Rodney and Isaac counted each team's coins and declared a winning team.
It was cool to see which combinations of coins worked best.

 Fun races!

Hudson's enthusiasm for his gifts is pretty obvious in these pictures!

Wyatt especially loved the punch balls!
We had such a fun time celebrating Hudson! This party was just his style- high energy and full of fun and silliness!
